I had a mate who loved spidercrab claws .. we were in Alaska on an excercise... went to a restaurant for the special buffet they ran every Friday .. food was fantastic.... included great big piles of spidercrab legs .. about 12 - 15 inches long .. which tasted great..... however .. me mate proceeded to get rather pissed rather fast ... and suddenly decided it was bed time .. so off he staggered......

In the morning the whole corridor of the hotel was woken by him screaming in fright........ he woke up to find his pillows, bed and face covered in blood................

When we broke in and cleaned him up to try and see what had happened .. it suddenly became obvious .... his face was covered in tiny scratches, nothing major or serious .. just lots and lots of tiny scratches each one which had bled a little and it all added up .......

Seems on the way out, in his drunk state, he had grabbed a handful of spidercrab claws ... and put them in his shirt pocket (??? !!!) ... he then got to his bed and passed out on it .......

Now ... just think where a 12 - 15 inch crab claw ends up when stuck in a shirt pocket ..... add a pissed up bloke sleeping on his side impervious to pain ......... :)

I know ... we should NOT have laughed .. it could have been very serious, especially if one had got in his eyes ...... but it was funny .. and so was his face for about a week ... :)
