Title: PC problems
Post by: RobG on 12 March 2010, 14:07:44
Copied some of the boy`s camcorder clips from the PC onto a DVD-RW disc. All burnt OK but can only play the disc on the PC. Got 5 DVD players in the house and none of them recognise the disc although they all accept the RW discs. Any ideas please. :-/

Try them on to a normal DVD and finalise it, see if that works.  Or is it simply a file format (Type) that the home DVD players dont recognise.

There's the option to finalise the disc on my PC software, should be there on yours too.

finalising will do no good...

DVD players cannot play .mod files.

you will need to convert them to dvd format (.vob) before they will show.

nero vision will make a dvd out of .mod  files if you have it?

Do a Google search for 'Free DVD Creator'. I use this & it works a treat, but you can't alter or add anything of your own, it just converts the files to DVD format. HTH :y
