Title: Google Street level
Post by: Andy B on 11 March 2010, 17:22:07
.... is now UK wide. Or I've just found out.  ;)
Typical of my Dad to have his back to the car/camera.

Google has made a pigs ear of the area though ..... imagas of his actual street are of somewhere else.  :-?

.... and we must've been away in our caravan  :y

They have been down the main dual carriageway past where I used to live.  Hope I am not out and about when the camera comes round.

I dont actually agree with what they are doing, I looked up where my Nan used to live in Aberdeen and in a sence it was nice to see nothing has changed in 32 years since I last visited, but then I realised all the surrounding cars numbers plates were vuisible.

Not good for people getting thier number plates cloned on the current petrol theft situation.  Grab a reg number from 300 miles away and take a guess that thats were the car resides if you give falsee info - No Thanks. :-/

My street not there, at least I do not think so.

The whole 96 houses on the estate cannot have the same postcode surely?

Further investigation suggests that it was taken on the Wednesday following 9th July 2009 and before 8.00am. had a quick glance round the village and not seen anyone.
Date, Miss Vamps Cardboard from her birthday bike is out for collection, timing, our cars and bedroom curtains of our house and over the road closed..... :D :D

Hee Hee Vamps, that reminded me of one of our Relatives in South Yorkshire. She always wraps any drink bottles in tons of newspaper & buries them at the bottom of the bin bag among the household waste. I bet that goes on a lot everywhere, but not here apparently! Our neighbours take a pride in stacking their empty booze bottles as high as they will go without spilling out of the box  :D :D ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

As far as I can work out, need to press print screen (top line of keyboard, right of F12) then shift/insert into something like paintshop pro,or similar before saving and uploading to photobucket and OOF.

If that makes sense......   ;)

Find your house then click the little chain button on the right of the page.
Use the top link in the box that appears and it will show the view you're looking at.

I didn't have the Omega last July when the car came down my street.
We saw them coming from the front window and my kids tried their hardest to get out to the front and outside before he went past, but the door was locked and they failed.  8-)

But here is my BATTLE BUS parked on the drive.
As you can see it is used for Charity Runs to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every year we enter the Mac4x4 Challenge (March) this year our team team won two prizes and raised £15,000

WHOOPS NOTICE THE MISTAKE....

My neighbours car in the whole street is the only car they forgot to blank out the number plate..

Never quite reached the end of the road then ..  :)

No - the Googlemobile came to the end of the road turned around and drove off.

My caravan was there as well at the time, I was off work after my very nasty fall.
