Reading this has given me an idea, 'oh no' I hear you all chant....
What about setting up a register for all the Omega's on the forum (and known to us) and sort it all by year, engine, trim, etc. As in the distant future as they become rarer (word?) we could trace the history of each car on the register and maybe provide a substantial chunk of history to a new owner.
Just a thought so.... discuss?

Simply thinking ahead to when these become 'classics' and being (as a club) able to provide some detailed history to a new owner. I'd be happy to set it up.

I always thought the spreadsheet was a good idea.
As a long term owner of the one omega (couldn't manage more than one) it is nice to know what things go and more importantly when. Not cambelts as they are well documented but ABS ECU, DIS packs, wishbones, rear subframe bushes etc so you can budget/plan.
VX may have that data but would never make it available whereas a forum would.

I wasn't thinking that detailed but it could be I guess.
