About time we had some good news, I think. :y :y
It would seem that all this talk about energy crises may need to be binned as we head into a world of bountiful, cheap, shale gas.
New technology means that future power stations can be run on this cheap gas and it would obviate the need for expensive untested options like carbon capture, as they produce much less CO2 than coal. Whilst my views on the "global warming" are well known, it would be churlish of me not to welcome a technology which produces less CO2 and is potentially much cheaper...
One thing I would say is that, if this pans out, wind turbines and solar panels will never compete.
A highly recommended link! :y :y

Well if it is as good as the write seems to suggest, then at last this could well be the beginning of a new energy source.
It sounds Nick as though it will not be cheap, given the extraction costs, but I for one would welcome this resource to replace the rather vunerable gas supplies from Russia!
Worth watching that's for sure! 8-) 8-) 8-)
A great spot Nick ;) ;)

I seem to recall about 10-15 years ago , oil shale and tar sands were going to stop us running out of oil- not a lot happened -( economics) -so we shall see what happens - a war in middle east would make it atractive economically as crude would shoot up in price.
