Offer him £800 and turn up with an "My Naff Code Reader", program the key and drive it away ;D ;D How pi$$ed off would he be :P

But how bad is the damage and would it actually drive, or is the missing key an easy way of covering up the new engine is also knackered.

pointless discussion as the seller wants £1000-£1500 and thinks that the car is worth £2400 repaired - what?

155000 miles and knackered......makes my saloon worth £4000!!!!
