any sparkys on here?just wonderin how much 100m 1.5 t&e and 100m 2.5 t&e might cost,got the distinct feeling i've been screwed over,(by a a so called mate :-/)

100m 1.5 - 27.50 inc
100m 2.5 - 40 inc
are the list prices at my local wholesaler....I get them less than that though as they give me discount.
But the above is a reasonable baseline (note screwfix price is higher)

Also, was the cable the cheap eastern european made crap or something you can actually work with?

cable prices are always up n down at the mo (me and my old man own our own electrical wholesaler) but those prices seem about right in comparison to ours :y

25 and 37 quid inclusive for the cable :y

Two weeks ago I paid £17 for 25 metres of 2.5 cable from B&Q!! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
I could have saved money if I had bought the 100 metre roll, but for the job I am doing it was just too much! :'( :'(

You could have bought all that lot for a lot less as a "normal" punter at the likes of B&Q, Homebase, etc (and they are blatantly overpriced).
If that's a mate, I sure as s*it wouldn't want to meet your enemies.

Indeed, Ashford has quite a few, it's not a bad place and my area and most of the parts surrouding it are fine but, there are a few dumps where 'it' all happens.

Just a shame, like elsewhere, we have a little concentration of those lower life's who deal. Still they are being dealt with.....slowly.
They're clamping down which is very good but, I still hate the two way system, it doesn't work it causes more congestion than it ever had before, they keep saying on the shared space part no pedestrian accidents (yet give it time), what about all the car accidents though. There are 5 sets of lights down by the bowling alley which is pathetic, 2 at most are needed. But other than that it's not all bad :)
