Title: 30 MPG around to town........
Post by: Vamps on 04 May 2010, 21:58:37
Don't know how to link this, but here is the description... :D :D

112,000 miles, Vauxhall Omega CDX 2. 6 V6, (Ecotec Engine) 4 Door Saloon, Full Service History, Silver, Petrol, Automatic with Sport, Economy and Winter modes, Heated front seats, Alarm, Front head restraints, Rear headrests, Electric door mirrors, Electric Windows and Sunroof. Front and rear armrests. Full Leather Interior, onboard computer, Cruise Control, Multifunction steering wheel. This car benefits from a full service history, and is in very good condition. Not to be confused with the high mileage cloth interior versions, this really is a stunning and extremely well equipped car. Great on long drives and giving around 30 mpg around town. Taxed till 31/08/10 and MOT till 4/6/10. Not to be missed. £1,795 ONO.

I'm lucky if I get 25ish

30mpg in town my arse!

Our old 2.5 was in tip top tune, and the best I ever saw from that was 22mpg in town (had to be driven like you were deceased though).

However 30mpg on a run is quite believable.

2.6 could be 2001?

That's an average of about 12 and a bit thousand a year, which I'd say is a moderate mileage on most cars (and fairly insignificant on an Omega).  I do 30,000+ miles a year in one car and less than 5,000 in the other.

I agree, 112,000 miles isn't even half the engine life expectancy.

If every petrol mig gets 30mpg around town, they would be worth a great deal more than £1,795.

And I wouldn't be selling mine, no way :(

Mick ;)

I know mate, it was the "not to be confused with high mileage cloth interior versions" I was commenting on......112000 not particularly low imo

Ahh, so it's the leather seats that stops the mileage getting to high then ;D ;D
