Title: Many thanks to Tunnie and TB

Took the 3.2 manual over to Brackely yesterday, and with the great help of Tunnie and TB we think we've most likely found the issue.
They spent a good 3 hours or so on it, in the cold and dark.
Then we went for a Curry...but being the 'edificated' person that I am, I had friend chicken and chips  ;D
But, once again may thanks to you both for your efforts, it was much appreciated :y

Not sure we're quite there yet, but at least we know a few things its not :y

no problemo, nice to have one of the famous Omega from Road Wars on the drive  :)

And at least the passenger cat kept us nice and warm  :-[ ;D - which is why I hate doing things in the dark  :-[
