Im sure I heard Alistair Darling say in an interview on Saturday that the UK wouldnt get involved in propping up the Euro, that was for the Eurozone countries to sort out between them.
On the radio this morning it was reported that he was proud that the UK would only be contributing £8 billion to the deal agreed last night.
They fought their whole election campaign on the single issue that the Tories were going to take £6 billion out of the economy ::) :-/

Seems we arent actually commited to contributing £8 billion, but might be "exposed" for that amount. :-/
