Get an e-mail address which is for example Del@companyname.co.uk, do you have to have your own website?
-
First off you need to register the domain you want (assuming it isn't already taken).
Once you have that, you need a mail server (any decent hosting company will give you that with a web hosting package).

AAs KW says... Buy the domain name. You can use Google Apps for a mail server though, which is what I do :y

.co.uk domain registration tends to be about £3 (+VAT) per year, bought in 2yr blocks.
That just gives you the domain name, not any means to use it.
If you want a website on it, you need to organise a webhosting package (suitable ones do tend to have a cost, usually starting around £3 per month, which often includes email, and free domain registration).
If you want just email, you need to organise an email account. As said, Google provide a free one which works well enough, as long as you have no issues with Google rumaging through your emails ;)

They do a good job of filtering spam though... They can keep all the penis enlargement and viagra emails which are invariably sent ;) :y
