Title: engine info needed

i need a new engine for the omega can anybody tell me if it is engine code z22xe or z22se olso is there any difference between automatic and anual engines

I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be along soon, but I think that providing it's you're engine that's gone bang you'll be able to bolt the gearbox onto a new 2.2 lump whether it comes from a manual or auto car as you'll have the bell housing and torque converter.

My guess would be the z22xe engine being the one needed.  Tunnie's got a 4 pot... Maybe he'll be able to advise.

Petrol 2.2 for the Omega is the Z22XE, the X22XE is for front wheel drive cars. :y
