Title: Greased Lightning
Post by: Nickbat on 17 May 2010, 23:28:03
Whilst channel hopping, I came across Ideal World tonight.

They were pushing "Greased Lightning", the waterless cleaner. Has anyone on here bought it? Does it work?

The demonstrations looked impressive!

  :-? :-/

To me it defies logic - like most things on these shopping channels - where does to dirt go if not into the fabric of the cleaning cloth and thence back onto the paintwork? :-? :-?

Where does the dirt go??? :-? it's BS it must get picked up in the cloth and hence you end up wiping dirt all over you car scratching it to shit ::)

Personally i've gone a bit anal on the new motor:

1. Prewash with PA snowfoam attachment on pressure washer (letit soak for 5minutes0
2. Rinse off.
3. 2 bucket wash with lambswool mitt (1 bucket with the shampoo, 1 with plain old water to rinse everytime - you'll be amazed at the crap that comes off in the rinse bucket ;))
4. Rinse
5. Dry (quality drying towel)
Optional extras:
6. Clay (contaminent removal)
7. Polish (paint correction)
8. Glaze polish (hide fine marks and give extra depth)
9. Carnauba wax
10. Loony bin :D

There was no bigger sceptic than me. My brother gave me some to try. I've used it for a while and it really does work.

It gives a better shine than my previous autoglym.

The wife also uses it on the house windows-she reckons it's the easiest and best cleaner she has used for the windows.
