In a couple of hours time, I resume my normal 'on-train' duties after an absence of ten weeks on sick leave, after having been hospitalized for a painful gall-bladder removal op.
:D
Been back on a 'phased return/light duties' basis for the past two weeks, and have also got a new manager(ess) into the bargain.
Have been treated very well so far, fair play to her.
I flew through a two-hour competency assessment on Friday last, and, with a lovely report compiled by her, she pronounced that I was fit to resume my full role.
:y
Am actually looking forward to booking-on later, and trundling up and down The Valleys again.
;D

Good on you Byron, best of luck, and take it easy

Ah, so you work for ATW!
Do you ever do the Cheltenham-Maesteg route? If so, you will have unwittingly seen me - I use it most days, have done for the last 5 years!
Best of luck mate, enjoy it. Being off for that length of time is no fun.
-
Glad to see you back in the Drivers seat ;). Hope you have fully recovered and good luck :y

No James, the Cheltenham to my home town route is worked by the Cardiff 'Main Line' staff.
I was recently given the opportunity to transfer from the 'Valleys Link' but declined.
However, I did work a Cardiff-Cheltenham trip last week when on 'light duties' - easy peasy mate!
