Title: Here`s a funny thing.....

.....`started receiving someone else`s e.mails.

By chance, I happen to know them (but have never corresponded or given them my e.mail account address)....their private e.mail is going into my 'webmail' inbox; but oddly is not downloading when I use my POP/client.....It`s not SPAM or junk-mail (some is very private)....We don`t share the same ISP and our address` are very dissimilar.
.....What`s likely to be going on? :-/

Are you using ISP email, or an email service such as hotmail/gmail/yahoo etc etc

I`m using Gmail and the other party is using their ISP`s webmail (TalkTalk)....most odd, as our names and e.mails are so different. :-/

Isn't TalkTalk's mail service provided by Gmail?
