Title: OK what's about to go wrong?
Post by: Banjax on 25 May 2010, 11:29:17
Tuesday starts at midnight last night - knock on the door, the neighbour back with some beautiful trout from a day's fishing (mainly drinking by the looks) usually I'd grab them, but given the hour and I'd just done the dishes and cleaned the kitchen - I really couldn't be bothered gutting and cleaning a couple of trout (more later) :o
Fast forward to 7am wake (after a short sleep) to the wife calling me from work (she's on nights at the mo) to remind me to get up as M&S were delivering a dishwasher and washing machine between 7 and 11am today....yeah - like it'll be here anywhere near 7am!
15mins later guy from M&S calls to say he's outside with the delivery!! I'm amazed  :o
had a nice pot of tea, made some bacon and eggs, read some emails and still bags of time to get to work and fill up on the way as I'm running low....wife comes home, delighted her new toys have arrived, plus as she'd taken my car to work, she filled it up as it had beeped at her (i ignore the beep for a good 40/50miles!)
Back to the fish - as I'm leaving, the neighbour (with the trout) was chatting to another neighbour and I stopped to say hi, anyway - he'd gutted and cleaned the fish and asked if I wanted them now - lovely! - I'll get him a bottle of his favourite wine on the way home.
On the way to work, the sun shining, I was struck by how well everyone around me was driving and I realised its the first time that I can remember that no ones pissed me off on the way to work! :)
I'm so early I decide to use the Park and Ride facility outside Stirling - £1 park the car, step on the bus and just as I sit down it takes off, no waiting, no hassle. Drops me off round the block from the shop and I stroll round, enjoying the sunshine...still plenty of time to get a coffee but I've only got £2 in my pocket and surely a large americano is more than £2.....every other large drink is over £2...the americano is exactly £2 - perfect  :y

It's one of those days that everything just clicks - it can't possibly continue so I'm waiting for something to go spectacularly wrong  ;D ;D

Cheers Manta -
I'm always suspicious of Tuesdays - they're not a proper day, they're not the weekend, they're not the start of a week, they're not the middle - what is the point of Tuesday? ;D

Stirling is a nice place
I was born In Stirling  and spent the first 30 years of my life there  only to be pushed out by house prices.  :'(

it is beautiful - especially around King's Park and the Castle, doog - i wouldn't mind one of those big old villas if i won the lottery, until then I'll drive in from the sticks  :y
