No, the main fault is it needs a wash and vac ;D

So when you've finished the bathroom (or sent her away for a weekend ;D), fancy showing me how to do the check strap repair.  And fix my sump bolt. And.....

Has yours got a broken check strap then?

I take the doors off to do the check strap.....much easier.....

Tractor has strap no longer attached at door end.

You've just made a scary job sound even scarier  :-[

I notice on my door strap on the driver's side the bracket on the pillar is starting to come away from the pillar. Just a few cracks around the edge but it's clearly moved a little. Still secure at the moment but I'd be interested in how a repair can best be effected.

well a basic how-2 guide which gives the part numbers for the repair plates can be found here (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152902108) ... although if it's really bad I guess you'd probably need to strip the door completely and weld the repair plates to what's left of the door ...

I drill holes in the plate and plug weld it......15 mintue job....if you have a welder!

I thought there'd be a caveat like that appended to the answer  ;)

Of course even if I had a welder I'd be sure to make a complete horlicks of it. Have had the desire to learn to weld in the back of my mind for a few years now, but I'm certain that this is not the ideal starter project.

I'll keep an eye on it and make a mental not to treat it gently for now.
