seen some german marques reach 250k on the same engine.
what sort of miles have other members clocked up on the original engine?
my "x" plate has 84k, hopefully i'll get a few more.

Yours is still 'low milage' ;) Mine has 163 000 but I know there are other s here with far more. :y :y
-
low miles on mine.
Both 1999
GLS 65K (V)
Elite 89K (T)
-
Highest mileag car I've driven was a mercedes e class 2.7 cdi, that had done 304k on a 53 plate with about 250k round the town, worn out wasn't the word. My miggy was on 166k when I sold it I think.

I would hope a lot more..... :D :D :D

I'd hope you get a lot more! Mine is approaching 120k and still revs/pulls fine. With doing about 30k /year (motorway miles) I think it will hold together till at least 200k :y
-
Mine is a young 164k... ...most v6 are good for well over 200k, its the rest of the car that fails.
Highest miler I've driven recently is a 270k Audi 1.9TDi
-
I had a 1996 Volvo 850 2.5 petrol estate come in as p/x a few months ago. That had done 208,000 miles, and actually drove really well, everything worked and it wasn't a bad car.
Highest mileage Omega I've had is 122k, and lowest was 28k miles.
-
Only 84K on mine so hopefully a lot more life left in her :y

My very first Omega was a pre mini facelift 2.5 CD estate with a manual box and running on an old LPG system. It had covered nearly 250,000 miles when I sold it and apart from the normal service items was still on its original engine/box/axle ect. It still ran really well and looked good when polished (star silver) but I thought its going to go bang sooner or later so I sold it. I still say it knocking around for about 12 to 18 months after I sold it :)
-
My 96 CDX
state estate has only got 113K on the clock so hopefully it will last me a few more years yet.
-
230000 at the minute and still going strong, but I have no idea if its original engine.
-
152k on my Elite 3.0 estate at the mo, but climbing rapidly as I'm currently doing about 800 a week...............
-
139,000 miles recorded plus a fair bit more when the last ABS ECU failed.
I think I will be buried in this car if Mrs Varche can get a JCB to dig a big enough hole. ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
153,000 on 1998..all original and still goes very well, but it is lovingly looked after.
Usual service bits and age related scars, but same engine/gearbox/rear axle, and fully expecting it to reach 200k and more.
-
95 cavalier diesel on 360,000 with original engine and box. still going strong when sold :o 1990 shogun diesel on 250,000 sweet as a nut . Current tractor on 143,000, think the body will give out first though.

Pity that several Omegas go that way :(

I took an F, 1989, reg Toyota Corina II from 160K up to 250k, and still goig strong.
On my company cars, especially the Carlton CD's, I took one from 0 new mileage to 118k in 18 months, and another from 0 to 112k in two years.
Overall I have travelled 1 million miles, but the vast majority of that on business and at high average speeds so all my cars were in virtually the same condition when they went back as when they were new 8-) 8-) 8-)

Nop, as the engines were kept at the optimum temperatures with the oil fully circulating and the engines worked to their design speeds, with full regular servicing and no failures. Those engines were as good at the end of my use as they had been at the beginning. ;) ;)

Reckon I'm only on about 400k driving miles.... ....though in my younger days, the driven wheels did substantially more miles than the non driven wheels ::)
-
The Golden Nugget didn't quite manage 130k :'(

150k on my 1997 manual tractor, full SH shows no failures. Gave me 46 mpg on a 400 mile run over the weekend.
Wheel arches and other bits beginning to hole tho' :'( :(

My 2001 Y Reg cdx has done 86k :y
We have a Citroen Dispatch at my work which has done 217k and drives lovely but it has had a small fortune spent on it! ::)
-
Highest mileage vehicle I've driven is an old Ford Cargo with some 350,000Kms on the clock, on at least the second (possibly third) time around! ::) ::)
As for driven Miles... I used to do 1000 miles/week private (and commuting) mileage for 3 years, plus another 2500 miles/week minimum in company vehicles.... I reckon I'm well past the 1 million mile mark as that was just one driving job ::) ::)
