Have a laugh at this news report.

Now that is just taking the biscuit.
Good though ;-)

they will be creeping up on you and installing parking meters by your car and fining you for not paying soon..............
-
Saw it on the news last night, the ticket was cancelled in the end. I'm suprised they would lift a car just to paint some lines ::)

Having prevented the need to return at a later time to finish the job (the car being in the way) I think the council staff/contractors demonstrated a refreshing level of ingenuity in taking these measures.
A splendid example of how precious funds from the hard-pressed Council Tax pot are being disbursed - more so when we realise that these lines will generate future income for the beleaguered council when wicked motorists decide to flout the law by placing convenience before responsibility and parking where they like.
Well done to all concerned I say. :y :y

Zulu,
It seems that "if we can get away with it, we will" applies to councils too,
And funds from council tax have so many potholes to fund filling in,...................

Last week at last the Council painted double yellows outside my lowered drive, four years after submitting the request in plans given to me at the time. Hasn't really stopped people parking and blocking me in, even driving test examiners, as there are never any wardens in the area...duh :(

perhaps they could swap jobs with the Hampshire road marking painters posted on here a few days ago for painting around a flattened badger as it was too hard to move out of the way..... ::)
