Post by: Debs. on 06 August 2010, 14:50:56
....seen when I passed a road-side tea and burger caravan in a layby on the A5 today, with a sign saying:
"We are open.....despite those environmental health pratts!" ;D

Make you wonder if they might`ve had a point. ::)

Someone needs to upload those films; they`d be a better watch than anything currently on Tv. ;D

If one worries about health and safety, one avoids the A5 anyway.

Amen to that. Especially in the pi$$ing rain in a Westfield with so many tractors and pikey wagons to dispatch.. only to find it's Sunday and there's therefore no f3cking petrol available most of the way, so then you're in fuel economy mode at about 40 MPH (on the fast sections) across the majority of Wales..  >:(

When I lived up that way, petrol wasn't the problem.  You couldn't get a drink on a Sunday. :(

There's a story there too. Stayed at a youth hostel in Snowdonia once with a couple of mates. Went into local offie "oh, it's dry here on Sundays" :o While still stunned a local wandered in and bought half a dozen bottles of whisky :-?.

You can imagine how the conversation went :

"I thought you said it was dry on Sundays"
"Ah, well, he's a local landowner, you see"
"Riiight.."
"Oh, well, I suppose if it's OK for him..."
"Thank you!" >:(
