Title: Today's funny story
Post by: CaptainZok on 12 August 2010, 23:11:14
As many of you know the Gnome is working at a local garage.
Many years ago they sold petrol and though the pumps have long gone the concrete island and canopy remained.
A few weeks ago the boss got round to having the canopy taked down, then yesterday got a gang in to dig up the island and concrete it smooth.
All went well and the newly laid concrete was left to dry as the garage closed for the night.
This morning TG and the rest of the lads arrived to find tyre tracks right through the concrete leading around the corner and onto a drive where a car with concrete all over the wheels was parked.
Turns out the chap in question was having an evening drive round the garage yard to see if they had thrown anything interesting in the skip/any part worn tyres out then had set off and didn't see the wet concrete on the forecourt until it was too late.
Guess who's getting a bill for digging up the concrete patch and relaying afresh. ;D ;D
