Title: Ronnie is back with a vengence
Post by: Ronald_McBurger on 27 April 2007, 19:13:54
Right. After a fairly long break, I am now back with a vengence. Project ELITE LPG is next on the agends, then I am aiming for 10 more in the next 4 months.

Trade insurance in place once again, so we are off and running.

This weekends jobs: Wifes 2.5 v6 CDX Auto Estate breathers and rocker gaskets (both sides). Plus sorting a 'wagging' rear end - suspect tyre.

Then, Project 2007/2 the elite LPG. Strip down top end and replace exhaust manifold gasket. Then engine flush and oil change. Blowing exhaust inspection, followed by NSF wing dent vanishing trick. Don't worry, I can manage that without too much trouble. Taxing the car on Tuesday then going to fill up the LPG and petrol and see how it drives and runs etc. Then start on all the other bits.

LPG certification is on teh cards, FULL service inc cambelt, watre pump etc. Possible wishbones if it needs them and drop links. In fact, whatever it needs this one. I'll turn this car into a beauty in 3 weeks from now.

Then, whatever else I can find out there.

Oh, and I am finally doing something I started 20 years ago. Going back to uni! Yes, me. Uni. That will be fun. What am I studying? Now, this will be interesting to see what you guys think. A genuine subject, nothing unusual. But what it is? Some will have a clue from old threads here and elsewhere, but lets see what guesses you lot come up with.

Good to see you back, Fin.  Hope the back and health are holding up well.

As to Uni stuff - good on ya!!   :y  When I see both my kids getting good honours degrees in subjects of their choice, makes both of us wonder what path we might have trodden had we done the Uni bit fully as well.....

As to your chosen path, my guess is ........  a specialist white collar job......  one that leaves most of the week free but keeps you hard at it on Sundays (and some Saturdays, particularly during the busy summer wedding season).....

Whatever, best of luck on your chosen path.  I've little doubt that you will make a grand attempt at it, whatever....

I wish you well.

B

£350 a year would be nice for some trade insurance!  :)

Did a quick google, no online quotes they call you back.

Brining into account my age and 'named' NCB with direct line i think it would be expensive for me!

I got told off by the police though. Apparently, if teaching young ladies to drive , I should be wearing something else as well as just a tie!

No sense of humour the local constabulary
