Yeah the cost of motoring is poo so another thread because I have probably missed it somewhere.
Looking around for a conversion on mine, the cheapest is around £1050 with a 24 month guarantee.
My dad is tight and keeps telling me I can do it cheaper.
He shows me on his laptop (ebay) a second hand lpg kit (remove yourself) going for £106, but from a 2.5 V6 and not a 3.0 V6 like mine.
Will it work? (so I can put him right lol).

Thing is what kind of kit ?. If mixer ring, don't bother, you can get sequential injection for a reasonable amount. 2nd hand, well I did, but you will have to buy some replacement bits like main feed pipe, and odds and sods. Tanks are good for 10 years, after that they need to be retested, else they won't pass a safety check.
Make sure you can get software to tune it, I fitted a Bigas system and the software needs an extra dongle to fully access its capabilities. Having said that, a lot of of kits use basically the same components, so you can mix and match a bit. A 2nd hand, 4 pot kit recently went for about £150. :y

If it's running on a V6 then it'll work ;)
But, as stated, you'll still end up spending out on new bits :y
That quote seems a little too cheap IMHO. Take a look through the guides and DIY.... Mine cost me under £700 with a brand new kit :y :y

Personally I'd avoid any "1 day conversion" specialists... They must drill the manifold in situ :o :o

Totally agree ... my professional conversion took 3 1/2 days .. and is about the only one that OOF members have declared "acceptable"

Will the 2.5 manifold (with the LPG injectors) be ok to put on a 3.0 engine ? I thought they were different. :-/
