I've just fallen off my chair reading this (notwithstanding the reporting medium)

As a society, we're going to hell in a hand cart. :( :(

It is backed up by a neuropsychologist.

I wonder if this really means anything?

Gian-Paul held a senior position at the Department of Work and Pensions helping disabled people. He fell from the newly-issued swivel chair in 2008.

That's a bit ironic all the same is it not? ::) ::) ::)

Perhaps it's me, but I've re-read your post many times, and still don't understand the point you're making.  :-? :-?

If I had to make a guess, it would be that the story of the man making an insulting claim is not newsworthy because he is not famous. If that is so, then I feel you are mistaken. It is a very relevant topic in the light of our ridiculous blame culture, a situation that is adding hugely to the costs of the average person, as well as insulting those who genuinely deserve financial help, such as the many seriously injured while fighting at the behest of the government. >:(

But, like I said, I really don't understand your post.  :-?

you need to pull the rod free first m8, then you'll have half a chance  ;) :y

still don't see the story - the soldier got £320k for getting injured at work (who'da thunk it - soldiering is risky?) someone else puts a claim in for less for being injured in an office job...it'll be interesting to see what the final settlement (if any) is - doubt the Sun will be on the case tho, like I said - non-story  :-?

but it was a good guess none the less  :y
