Title: New forum layout
Post by: Shackeng on 14 September 2010, 14:31:57
No doubt there are good practical reasons for the new layout, but I have to say I don't like it at all. For reasons which you may guess, I have quite large fonts displayed. In the old scheme it was brilliant, but with the new scheme it is horribly cluttered, overlaps, and often has to use a second line to display information. Definitely a retrograde step as far as I am concerned.

Forum layout/structure changed a while ago, had a problem with it at first but soon got used to the different order.

If you are on about Your avatar text then rewrite it under your avatar posts like Lizzie has done.  :y

When the upgrade was applied a couple of weeks ago some members reported misaligned and conflicting text when using IE8.

This still happens on occasions when I use IE8 but not when using FF.

I can't find the thread relevant to it at the moment. :(

Have a read here;

Have you inadvertantly increased your font size with <ctrl>+<+>?

If so, correct it with <ctrl> + <->.

Thanks Debs, ran CCleaner (which I do every night anyway) and I'm back to a normal display, but I am still at a loss as to how it came about. I have saved a screenshot, and if anyone can give me a clue how to post it up I will, for further comment. :y
