It's linked to from the maintenance guides index as "V6 Cleaning crankcase breather system" .. but I get a message that says: "You are not allowed to access this section. "
I guess I'm not in the cool kids club :'( ;D

It just needed proof reading and the links updating....its Kevin Wood and the plenum removal that was holding me up :P (http://www.smiley-faces.org/smiley-faces/smiley-face-whistle-2.gif)

The link in the maintenance guide index seems to work fine for me :-X

That's the fella ;) Seems I have some parts to buy (6000 O-rings of various sizes, it seems, reading the guides!) and some bravery to muster up (I hate doing the first few jobs to an unfamiliar car..)

Lol, not quite that many, if doing the breathers you only need the few listed in the breather guide, less than a fiver for the lot from Vx

Ok I was exaggerating a tiny bit ;) I assumed I'd also need the six O-rings between inlet manifold and inlet divider though, as the first step in breather cleaning appears to be removing the inlet manifold..

Er....plenum remvoal only.
As said in the cam cover guides, I have NEVER had to replace either teh O rings on the inlet or the lower gaskets unless somebody has bugegred them in the past (which is quite hard to do)
-
Plenum.. inlet manifold.. you know what I meant ;)
Good to know, though :) I'll not order replacements of those (there's always the other car to use, if I do uncover anything horribly mangled down there).
I can't believe getting the plenum off looks so easy - it took me a fortnight to get the plenum off the Nissan the first time.. the underside of it is riddled with a network of 8mm coolant hoses that bridge the plenum to the coolant system/turbo coolant feeds/block not to mention the EGR hoses that bolt in from the underside ::)
Anyhoo I digress (but at least this is in General Discussion, so I guess that's OK ;D )
