Title: Another Busy Day...
Post by: Lazydocker on 02 September 2010, 20:38:38
As some are aware I've got a few projects on the go at home at the moment ::) ::)

The hearth is laid and ready for the wood burning stove

The car has had a major service ready for the trip.

Today... Had the guys in with a mini digger to level the back garden for me ready for the rest of the work, which will be after our holiday. Thought I might share a couple of pictures and I'll post more as I go along :y :y

Could be... If it were possible to get a car in and I didn't have a grumpy neighbour!

But I may well have something suitable in the pipeline ;) ;)

Kevin

I told you... It was an extension to the shed :-X :-X ::) ::)

Don't think I'm going to get much more done with it until after the holiday now :( :(

Typically, the car has decided to spring a leak >:( >:(

Luckily it's only screen wash ;D ;D But I can't find why as the grommets seem OK :-/ :-/

Never mind... It can wait till we get back now I expect unless I get 5 minutes to have another look

Same here. Westfield has been fettled to within an inch of it's life. Even the clutch works now. :y

Just waiting for Mrs. KW to get back from work and pack a few more kitchen sinks and we'll be off. ;D

Not once the Shed, Wood Shed, Decking and SWMBO's Raised Beds have gone in... There'll just about be enough room left for the conservatory! ::) ::)

fill them soil beds with water and have a naked chic mud bath  ;D ;D

will cheer up the grumpy neighbour no end. or make him have a heart attack and croak, either way happy days.

Very nice.. but just where do you find the motivation to do things like that?

I have endless projects around the house that need doing (rewiring, new kitchen, new garage needs building, garden is a jungle after the previous owners left it untouched for 10+years etc) and I never quite seem to get started on any of them..

Struggled to get motivated but once going I just wanted to get it finished!

I did a couple of hours work on someones car yesterday. Laid down and had a couple of hours kip afterwards. ::) ;D
When I was mid thirties I used to work a 70 hour week, proper graft, and then come home and get stuck into some serious DIY.
Wife came home one day and the dining room had no window frame/doors/skirting/or picture rail. I had ripped them all out and took them away to be dipped to strip all the paint off - they were victorian pine. Sheet of polythene where the window should have been for a week. That went down well. ::) ;D
This behaviour is no doubt partly responsible for me being so breaked up and knackered now. ::) ;)
The other reason being a misspent youth on motorbikes. ;D
