Bring it on, let have a proper winter this year instead of the cold snap of last year ;)

Nothing like going Pike Fishing when there is a couple of feet of snow on the ground :D

friction coefficient that stops your car  is independant of mass unfortunately ;D :P

but you can increase it with playing with the surface area of tires .. :y

or the type of tires..

ideal, so i either get studded tyres or drop the air down to about 10 psi :P

(may be needing some steelies soon then (grrr and may need to put my old springs back on >_< )

if you are living on a hilly area and the surface turns to ice, even normal winter tires wont help..

some years ago when my car was fwd my solution was to keep two studded tires in the boot..  at least was easier then tensioning the chain in cold.. :-/

I've got to laugh at these longish-range weather forecasts, they can only vaguely tell you what the weather's going to do in a few days!

If it does turn into snow, it'll be a coincidence, trust me  ;D ;D ;D

Once you get used to the fact it doesn't point in a straight line for more than 2 meters it's most entertaining, but a little cold with the roof down.  :)

On the first day of Xmas,
I spun the car on ice
then I ploughed into a blue Ford Cortina.

On the second day of Xmas,
I spun the car on ice
hit 2 Austin Allegros
then I ploughed into a blue Ford Cortina.

On the third day of Xmas,
I spun the car on ice
Scraping 3 Vauxhall Vivas,
Hit 2 Austin Allegros
then I ploughed into a blue Ford Cortina.

like that? you did say when you were young :y
