Title: Choice of Music advice needed
Post by: Varche on 06 May 2007, 13:12:13
As you can see I live in inland Spain.

When I lived in the UK and had broadband it was easy to download music and know what was going on music wise. Now it is a very rare occasion when I go to a supermarket or "music shop".  Can anyone suggest CD's to get on the next trip please?

I like Faithless stuff - the latest one was bought about 9 months ago. Other likes- Dirty Vegas, Coldplay, U2, classic chillout, dance. Anything with a good sound that I can have blaring away while I fix the latest thing to drop off the Omega.! I am getting a bit fed up of tapes of Pete Tong from 15 years ago.

Good bit of thrash metal (not normally my scene) helps for when things don't go to plan, and you need to smash stuff up...

Dance music wise: In Search of Sunrise (any of them, but 1&2 are particularly good) by DJ Tiesto.

Mainstream: Keane, Hopes and Fears (one of the best albums in years) or Under the Iron Sea.
Snow Patrol, Eyes Open. Massive Attack, Collected (everyone should own this!)

The new Faithless album is excellent (I went to see them at Wembley Arena a few weeks ago and they were absolutely awesome!! :y)

Also if you like dance music, any of the Hed Kandi albums are superb.  :y :y

Working my way through the latest albums, I must say the top 40 singles just contaminate my Harman Kardon speakers. Well most of them.
So far Natasha Beddingfields new album = good...Michael Buble = good. The new dance albums = same as they always are..  :-[

Different moods determines the music..From Bon Jovi to Sinatra.

Hot sunny days driving = 70s & 80s classics or rock.

Working on car = too busy swearing. ;D ;D

As you seem to like this sort of stuff, any  Hed Kandi albums (Disco Kandi ones in particular) are really good. Faithless new one (to all new arrivals) is also superb. I also like the Ministry chillout albums and Tiesto albums.

Also, if you find it, Judgement Sunday albuns are good. Its basically judge jules, but he plays so many good tunes.
