Correcto! We have the mother and father of a dish(like Goonhilly) and receive hundreds of channels that are nearly as bad as the Spanish channels. Sadly we are always one hour infront thanks to General Franco who thought it would be a good idea to be on the same time as Hitler despite being "Grenwich mean time". :y

Funny you should mention that, there is apparently a female Tory MP who is in the process of trying to get a bill organised to put the UK into the same time zone as you are in, and therefore, presumably abolishing Greenwich meantime.
No idea why, apart from possibly coming from out in the shires somewhere and being a victim of serious inbreeding. ::)

Nick will be very pleased that we are only going to pay 2.9%......He's very chilled about such things... ::) ::) ;)

No, that amount was only a suggestion. The actual figure is still being negotiated. According to Reuters, Sidonia Jedrzejewska (the EU parliament's rapporteur on the budget) is currently proposing a compromise deal. Taking the 2.9 percent offered by the Council of Ministers (claimed by Cameron as his own victory), Sidonia is proposing to split the difference between that and the parliament's 6.2 percent, coming up with a 4.5 percent increase.
::) ::)
As for the programme, I doubt I'll watch it. The fact that the EU's accounts have failed to be signed off by the auditors for the sixteenth year in a row, rather tells one that corruption is endemic, without listening to the grisly details. :(
Actually, I have work to do tonight so I'll keep popping into OOF during the evening to see your collective blood pressures rocket. ;) ;D ;D ;D

It's started Nick, no peeking.

6 hrs driving, £300...that's almost as expensive as owning an omega :o

Blood pressure going up! >:( It beggars believe any person in business in this country failing to submit audited accounts for that period of time would be in deep doo doo and probably be behind bars >:(

Had enough of eurocrooks now. Gonna watch fat people on panorama. ;D

Well, it certainly explains why our politicians will do anything to avoid us having our say on wether we want to be a part of it or not. ;) ::)

Yep blood pressure still normal. Tablets worked fine.
Interesting to see that all parties, even UKIP were apparently milking the gravy train.
I am going to apply for a MEP job right now at www. IwantapieceoftheEUMEPgravytrainaction.eunet . If I am successful then I wish to be known as Lord Varche in future. :y
