how much more can fall we have had another 3-4 inches over night and we have more to come tonight...oh joy...in fact deep joy :y
-
Just round the corner it is no better.Main road is single track with only 4x4,s moving.
Saw a AA patrol van go along awhile ago but normally the road is solid with cars taking kids to school.
Loooks really quite spooky..Didn,t venture out yesterday and looks the same today so hope something decent on tv....just had another peep out the garden and its...."snowing again" !!!
-
yes the 4 x 4 i have at the moment make a meal of getting out of the drive but it does it...lol and we have more to come...and what was it i was saying about doing my brakes this week as last week was too cold :y
-
Thought you would be out there today with the wheels off doing them brakes !!
Best bet is just to stay in doors......been watching neighbours clearing their Renault Scenic and the driveway around to get in.....has taken them both about 20mins ...just heard him say.."lets stay in for a while till it eases up".By the time they go back out it will be covered again.....my point is why trouble.
-
i've just measured 15" here and deeper in places, with more heavy snow forecast and its not getting above zero all day :o
-
I walked to work yesterday and it was fun to re-pass all the cars that had passed me half a mile back. I also got to notice where all the 4x4s pealed off to the local Prep school leaving the 'ordinary' motors in the main flow! ;D
I should mention that we have about an inch-and-a-half here but it's such an affluent area that the council can't afford to salt any roads but the biggest! ;D ;D
-
whilst u lot dont want any more snow.... i want it to snow here. we never get it and when we do its pathetic. i want a few days off work to just stay in bed and do jack all haha

snowing heavily in york AGAIN :'(
had 8-10 inches which has frozen solid under the new stuff, like everyone else totally pi$$ed off now, there is only so much jeremy kyle you can watch without putting a brick through the telly >:( >:(
-
Remarkable how the weather can be so different in area's not far from each other. :o I'm only about 40 mins drive away from the Kent border (I'm in East Herts) and there's barely been a sniff of snow around here. Had a light dusting night before last and that's about it. Can't say I'm too upset as I hate the stuff, particularly to drive in.
-
Looks like we had about 4-6 inches last night in North Kent.Similar amount on the ground from Monday night/tuesday early hours so as usual all seems to grind to a near stand still.
Its not that I wouldn,t venture out,its my customers don,t so pointless going to work to see nobody so here I sit awaiting the big thaw.
Bob...the waether man tells us is something to do with the North Kent Estuary and how it effect the weather....look at Gravesend as its nearly allways recorded as the hotest temp in the summer.
-
Well i was supposed to take a trip to Hemel this morning, went & filled up with diesel last night, got up this morning & AAAAAAH! :o :o, my car has vanished under a ton of snow, the road is about 18" deep in the stuff, & to top it off ive had a mini avalanche off the roof that has ripped the guttering down snapping the brackets in the process :'( :'(,,,,,,,,,,aw bugga :(
-

looks like My tomato plant is f**ked ;D had a fair bit of snow overnight and just started chucking it down :(
-
Very little here, an inch or so, which is the norm for us West Midlanders. Proper snow always seems to take a diversion and go round us and we just get the weedy stuff instead.
Not that I'm complaining, last year I fell over onto impacted ice and snow twice in ten days and still feel twinges in my back.

Omega not too buried yet, but I did get back late last night and purposefully made it so the inside was as hot as possible!
