Title: The Wonder of Children.....
Post by: Lizzie_Zoom on 01 December 2010, 19:47:58
Today I was driving around, and there was little tots everywhere playing with the snow; with parents pulling them along on sledges, and others making snowmen. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

It got me thinking that so often, in this so called high tech age, we forget how wonderful it is that children have not changed.  They do the things I did at their age, and they do the things my parents, grandparents, and great grandparents did at that age.  Little tots just amusing themselves with one of the simpliest things of life.......snow!! :-* :-* :-* :-*

I found that somehow very reassuring, as I do when I am surrounded by very clever and aware teenagers.  So much has not changed.  We have just got older!! :P :P :P

agreed lizzie  my kids are 17 and 13 and into all the gadgets but today we went to the woods with the dog and sledge and had a great couple of hours  made me realise we need to do more as a family

when we were young, it was ropes swings on trees, scramblers over the fields, hedge hodging. but most nights was up the school youth club, table tennis pool and generally having a laugh.

It's when they get older that they learn to despise snow & the inconvenience that it causes

agreed millwall, often feel our youngest spends far too much time on the laptop/ps2/wii/ds and whilst I appreciate that, as someone with aspergers, he is happiest paying such solitary games, I look forward to Christmas when all the older kids try and get over and we turn the tv off and play card/board games or things like consequences. far more social, far less technical and far more fun! :y
