Title: Oh no! Its the dreaded....
Post by: STMO123 on 09 May 2007, 20:04:23: ...cam cover gaskets. Oil in plug wells drivers side. £650 on mine in March. £735 on hers in April and now its May, another?????

Its a rather conspiracy to skint me.

I wouldn't mind, but I let her talk me into a new sofa and flat screen telly over the weekend.

Pass me my valium ;D

You know what Dave, I reckon I could! But, the time I would have to take off work would make it uneconomical, esp considering I'd have to stock up on tools as well. Oh, I nearly forgot, I'm a lazy old barsteward as well ;D

Which reminds me. Have we done ours yet Mr laidback????? Erm, I think not.

Then again, I haven't done mine yet as Mrs MarksDTMCalib pointed out to me after I lubricated her driveway.... again!

I did actually check the wifes rockers today. A nice pair she has too! Little, no make that a LOT of oil pissing out now. Next job, breathers and cheap copy gaskets for me.

Very rare for covers to warp ;)

Reasons for failure are crap pattern gaskets, and blocked breathers.

Esp if you have the ABS logon details :-X
