Almost like being drunk but fully in control of your senses...hallucinogenic almost... :-/
Walked out the office in the very heart of Glasgow there..
Couldnt hear any pure dead familiar Glesga accents...
Percieved everyone to be slightly darker than the normal milk bottle white Scottish colour...
Everyone is wearing Big hats and whilstling and blowing foghorns...
Car horns tooting everywhere.
Why cant i understand what anyone is saying :-/
Then i realised UEFA Cup final tonight in Glasgow
Sevillia V Espanyol in Glasgow - theres reckoned to be 100000 Spaniards in Town :o
And there getting Drookit ( rained on very hard)
The whole of the centre of Glasgow is closed to cars and George Square is amas of colours and flags and beer.
Good on them.
Going to watch the game in the square tonight on the way home. Two football teams in a big final watching the game side by side and having a laugh....its never done in Glasgow by our teams :-[
Ive done London, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussles, Liverpool blah blah and none are as intimindating as Glasgow.
The Spaniards have changed it all for 1 day at least :y

I saw an old woman fall over in george square about 4 years ago, there was a TV van right there and i figured it was all for telly so i ignored it, but then the tv van drove off and left her lying there, obviously hadnt seen her, i felt WELL guilty! by this time a few passers by had gone over and an ambulance was called
no serious injury, if i remember, just a bruised elbow

;D ;D ;D ;D Funny really I don't seem to fit anywhere, I left Gloucester years ago, and my friends from there have drifted away, Worcester is where my house is, haven't been back to Malta since I was 3 months old - good job they are a Catholic country with difficult to obtain contraception :o So since most of my relations are from Cornwall or Devon, that is where I feel most at home.
