Agreed Lizzie, they weren't mucking around, and ammunition expenditure wasn't exactly an issue either !  ::)

I wonder what the calibre of the gun was that they were firing? Just strafing the vessel at the start was enough to send it up.

I got the impression it was a modern 'Gatling' gun, of the type that the Royal Navy fitted after the Falklands War to down Exocet missles, amoung others.

Perhaps Guffer or other military experts will know? ::) ::)

yep.. I also think same.. but was interesting to watch it.. and I definitely need one in front of my cars :D ;D
