-
nice car but well out of my range

I know a certain member says his commodore is better on fuel than all of his omegas, and that includes some omega A's as well.

Although I'm sure big feet could soon cure that ;D

6 litre v8 , no way imo, unless you push everywhere ;D

I've only got a small white box so no towing issues there. Who makes these towing rules up anyway as they're utter bollix! If i bought a huge mega berth twin axle white box i could'nt tow it with the MV6. However i could tow it with a big daft diesel 4x4 which with it's long travel suspension & top heavy weight would tip over if the van went whereas the MV6 would stay on 4 wheels & pull the thing better in the first place. This has been mentioned before i know but people who sit in offices after watching a video & attending a course are suddenly experts with no hands on experience. WTF do they know? Under normal road conditions any large rwd saloon/estate car is a more stable towing vehicle than a 4x4. Not just my opinion but pure fact & common sense. >:(

many yrs ago I made the mistake of buying a rover 620 thinking that it would be ok to pull a large van with.... how wrong I was in thinking it was all about the engine size and not the weight of the car that mattered more......hence why I think Vauxhall have shot themselfs in the foot by stopping the production of the omega as it is such a good towing car /everyday usege before you go onto the 4x4's

After attending OOF & classic car meets in a sweaty tent i like the relative luxury & home comforts of my van. No need to put it up, pull it down, it's all there & only cost £200. SORTED!!! ;D
