I was initially enthusiastic about David Cameron meeting with "Big Business" to discuss creating more jobs. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12148834
When you look at the detail it is just mostly supermarkets or shops going to create more jobs by opening more supermarkets! Then the cynic in me spotted what this is actually all about.
Government. Create a feel good factor over creating more "jobs"
Supermarkets. Get relaxed planning permission to open more stores all over the place which currently they cannot do.
Where is the improved lending to real business- we are still waiting? Come to think of it where is Vince Cable? ;D ;D

I couldn't get enthusiastic about anything Cameron says or does. >:(

..and what everyone forgets about supermarkets is the desolate high-streets stripped of employment opportunities they leave behind once they've sewn everything up.
They hardly offer quality employment opportunities anyway.

I was following this with interest, to see what Cameron was proposing he said in the run up he hoped to be the most pro enterprise government ever.
Turns out he proposes reducing employment rights to create this new age of opportunity for employers- unfair dismissal not recognised for workers under two years service, A financial outlay required to register a case for unfair dismissal, Reduced sick pay. REDUCED WORKING CONDITIONS!
Whilst some here might see this as a step in the right direction and some might be opposed to it, does any one else feel like me surprised it has not been more widely reported? its not on BBC news or most news websites. The opposition are not protesting about it.
Instead we get to read Jordan is getting divorced and some such other tripe. Sad

The sad reality is that most folk are drones quite happily going to work, not questioning what is happening and then getting their daily kick from reading about "celebs" or watching them in the soaps. The Brits aren't a nation who get excited about issues only the latest issue of Hello!
