Title: what should I do
Post by: hoofing it on 06 February 2011, 21:19:17
The tractor is going shortly but do I break it or sell it.
Ive spent a fortune on new expensive parts(fuel pump, alternator, num 4 injector).
Its now developed a oil leak from god knows where and with 184k on the clock which would get the most :-/

facelift then? Humm, with a low-ish spec, not many goodies to sell. Being a  diesel, its going to be worth more as a car, even if its leaking oil.

I can't see how this impacts forum guidelines, simply asking if its worth more to break or keep. He is an established member with high postcount, if he was a newbie with just 50, then yes, but not in this case, all is well.

Back on topic, its not a breaker in my opinion, its worth more as a runner.

As G mentions, check the oil cooler?  :y

Noooo !!!   Not the subject, that's fine in 'General Discussion'.  I was refering to the vague 'What should I do' topic heading.
Something like '2.5TD...Break it or sell as is ?' or something along those lines would give an indication of what the subject is about.

With a vague heading, one has to open the thread to find out whether it is of any relevance or interest.

The 'Forum Guidelines' states:
Keep titles relevant, and not just 'Help me' etc.  Not everybody has time to read every thread

Or in other words, give some kind of clue as to what the subject is about. :y

Edit:  If the body and underneath is sound, then I'd go with fix it.  :y
