I do have one stuck in my head at the minute, and its kind of embarrassing. The story behind it is - I was brought up in a very religous household, and in my early teens (before I became a complete and utter reprobate) was interested in the Christian rock "scene".
I looked this band up on youtube, because they spent a few years living in Norn Irn in the seventies and I knew them quite well at the time. I was surprised to find them on there, so had a listen to this song for old times sake, and its now stuck in my head. ::) :-[

The song is a powerful statement, but I find it does not sit comfortably with the D-Day landing scenes from Saving Private Ryan.
It is the very sickening silence of the nervous men, then devastating noise of battle, with the distinct German machine gun clatter, the whizz of destructive bullets, and the deafened silence of the lead character within the confusion of slaughter during a sea borne landing, that makes the scene so powerful. No music can substitute that as Spielberg envisaged.
Often of course music has made a war film complete, but modern realism seems to rule that one out ;) ;)
Sorry to be so serious Bigegg!! ;) ;)

This woman is having her troubles but what a singer none the less.. This tune sticks in my head for days and days whenever I hear it :y

This, for some strange reason!

I did a study of it at secondary school.

Years ago, at a certain workplace with around 100 in the same room, a few of us would start whistling this for a few minutes, then stop, and see how many others would start whistling it involuntarily. Worked a treat. ;) ;D
Warning: this is dreadfully catchy and could stay with you all night. ;)
