Title: Ryanair luck!
Post by: omegod on 08 March 2011, 20:00:02
Silly mare of a Mrs just messed up an online booking and added her own name instead of her Mums. Phone lines closed at 7pm so as you would expect it is a case of book another flight or pay an exhorbitant fee to change it.

Hmm....... I think and phoned the local airport, asked for the Ryanair desk and a lovely lady changed the name on the booking for me! The owner may be a sh*t but that doesn't mean all the staff are! I will pop a box of choccies to her later this week  :y

i once flew for £0.01 each way on Ryan Air to Italy, including taxes! Just had to tick no to everything.

No to priority booking
No to checked luggage
No to food
No to water
No to the fresh air  ::)

They were shit to be honest, I had my doubts when after checkin they wrote my name in biro on a boarding card  :o

Not quite the same experience as Business Class on United  ;D

Ryan Air pilot pay is actually very good, although they get worked hard.

Airline benefits are not what they were, I used to get Business class flights at 5% of retail cost  :(

Me and Mrs went to La Rochelle a couple of years back with Ryan Air - 1p return - they didn't bother charging the card.

So, free travel for a weekend in France -very nice too.

However, Ryan Air is NOT my favourite airline. I dislike their corporate appraoch - i.e. the man at the tops is too arrogant and indifferent for my liking.

Never tried First on United then?  8-)

(although I prefer the seats in business for sleeping as they are more comfy once in the bed mode :-?)

Which reminds me; I need to get ready for this Easter's trip out to Hawaii  8-)

Never got to experience First  :(

My Uncle worked for United, he always flew First  :)

But apparently the difference from Business to First was not as big as Economy to Business.

Also the seats, oddly as you say were better in business!

Think they have had a referb though since I last flew with them

Yup.... they were doing flights for 1p, but I think there was a bug in their site as when I got back, the 1p offer was still on, but they stuck on a 'processing' charge for some bull of 9.99 each way!  ;D
