Title: Have a nice Easter

Due to SWMBO Mum having advanced Dementia, and going downhill rapidly it seems :( we are doing a short notice blat up to Elgin, as this may well be the last time Chris sees her Mum and is actually "recognised" as her daughter ... :(

Leaving at "crack of sparrows" tomorrow, and the chances of getting on-line are slim, so ....

1)  If anyone sees the golden beast on the m5/m6/m74/a9 give us a toot

2) Have a good Easter whatever you do, but above all .. be safe

See youse all next week sometime ..  :y :y :y

Sorry to hear the news....

Won't see you on the way up as not going anywhere near that way, but Toot Toot anyway, and hope that you manage to have a decent weekend together and all goes well.  :y

I'm heading to Edinburgh tomorrow, probably late morning, and happy to meet for a blether and a brew (on me, not often that happens  :o) at the Forth Road Bridge, if you wish?

As to the MiL thing.  Been there with my own mother.  Not easy, and my thoughts are with you on that one.   :y

This cruel condition has robbed many of their ability to enjoy things to the full in the evening of their lives and this is upsetting news indeed.

Would that you both were making the trip under anything other than these poignant circumstances.

Many thanks for the offer ... but the intention is to blat through as fast as possible .. its an 8 hour drive up, without stops (and that ain't gonna happen ... I know Birmingham all to well from getting to The Lakes :(  !!!), we've got to get to where we are staying, get sorted.. eat (?) then get on to the Sheltered accomodation where they live... hopefully before she goes to bed .. which would appear to be around 8.00 pm .. :( so we'll have to pass on the brew .. :(

Route plan seems to miss Edinburgh ... M6 / M74 / Glasgow M73/Stirling M80/Perth A9 ??  Plan to stop for LPG at Morrisons, Hamilton as the last cheap place before Elgin !!!

all the best I'll keep an eye out for you on the A9, as you'll probably be hitting it around the time i drag myself in to work  :y
