Assume you are referring to "Shephard @ Neame" if it is Spitfire Bitter.

They do it draught here in Kent as it is brewed in Faversham about 15 miles away.

Not my favourite but all tastes are different .

Do enjoy a drop of Spitfire but personal favourites are Sharpe's Doombar [smiley=beer.gif] and Timothy Taylor's Landlord [smiley=beer.gif] :y
Mind you, I've been enjoying far too many chilled cans of Carlsberg Export at weekend barbie's. ::)

Sorry to disillusion you Kev, trouble is I like both ale AND lager - and cold lager definitely goes down better on a hot day at a barbie! 8-)

For hot days I've recently been getting rather partial to alcoholic ginger beer.

I've tried Crabbie's and it's not bad, but as it's quite sweet I imagine it probably gets a bit sickly after a few. ::)

And.. If you like a little hint of the liquids normally distributed by our own Hotel21 in your ale, I can heartily recommend Innis & Gunn oak aged real ale. Very nice indeed. :y

I'm trying to remember which one I had recently. I don't think it was crabbie's as it was a 4.5 ABV. It wasn't as sweet either. Will have to root around in the wheelie bin for the empty bottle when I get home. ;D

Years ago when all the pubs around my way sold it we called it "squittter and scream" as after several you are looking for the "big white telephone".

As said everybody to their own taste ,but not my choice.

I agree with the vast majority of that list Herc - especially Old Tom  :)

My local has Speckled Hen on draft, as well as Lancaster Bomber - now that is a nice drop  :y

Never had a problem with it, and it's way better than the other local beer; Goachers, which is like drinking yesterday's dish water.
