Title: Dog problems
Post by: tigers_gonads on 04 May 2011, 21:10:09
I've got a 4 year old / 7 stone German Sheppard  :y

Love him too bits ........... BUT ............here is the problem

He just won't stop eating his sh*t  :(

I've been told that if you feed him pineapple cubes, his sh*t will taste that bad ( to the dog ) that it should stop him  :-/

Anybody else heard of this ?

Its getting silly, he has a habit of giving you a good lick in the morning to wake you up  ::)

Now don't get me wrong, i will happily admit to snogging a few dogs in my time ( when i'm drunk ) but non of them eat sh*t before they went to bed  ;D ;D ;D

Idea's anybody ?

get one of those dog training collars, every time he eats it, press the button and he gets either an unpleasant noise or smell blasted at him from the collar. As if his own crap isn't bad enough!  ;D

Take him to the vets... ISTR that in GS it may be a vitamin/mineral deficiency

To be fair, the garden is pretty much sh*t free  ;D

He tends to do his business first thing in the morning and never in the house  :y

He is let out in the garden last thing at night before we go to bed.
Without following him around with a torch, it would seem that he is having a crafty one and then eating it immediatey  :(

He has no problem waiting till we get up whether its 5 or 11am.
If he needs to go out inbetween, he makes it known at we let him in the garden  :y

Geoff, what you trying to say  ;D ;D ;D :D

Ha no only kidding! My dog seems to like horse manure, I just throw a big sod at her and that seems to discourage her!

Sounds like a win win situation to me. You dont have to clear the crap up, and the dog gets to enjoy his favourite
'dessert' :)

dont get me started on this one

it usually bitches what do it rather than dogs

it can be due to a vitamin deficencey

my rottie bitch done it when she was younger but seems to have growen out of it now

at time i tryed every thing
first trued pepper that dident work

then i try ed extra extra hot chilly powerder
little bugger seem to prefer the hot spice shit and loved it cover in hot chilly

then the vet gave me pill to stop
dog manged to open the cupboard door and eat the whole box of pills

ring the vet up in panic vet want shaw so got on to the poison center

found out it wouldn't harm her but said she deferentially eating no shit

half hour later she was munching a nice steamer for desert

in they eat it was eather it grew out of it or got feed up with get yelled at and me washing its face and mouth while ranting at her

pluss me shutting her in another room for 2 hours every time she did it
as rotties hate being on there own

just after eating a nice fresh steaming pile

Don't worry about it, just clean up after the event, and if he eats if so what.

I have two labradors a yellow one, and a chocolate half wit. The chocolate one eats the others, and prefers it warm ::). In the local park the yellow one can't eat enought deer droppings.
We have chickens, and a delicacy for the yellow one is chicken shit, he even goes into their run.
They like it, I don't worry, so don't you. :y
It is very common amongst out canine friends. ;D

Just don't let him lick you ;D ;) :y
