Well here we go i have been with vodafone for many years and never had a problem until now, my darling 15 year old son wanted an upgrade so i duly did unlimited txt internet plus 600 mins so i thought, well 15 year old boys and gilfriends and 4800 txt later i now have a bill for £240 for going over his txt bundle, As i am now being told unlimited is actually 3000.well nowhere in my contract small print does it say 3000 just unlimited
Has anyone else had this.
:( :( :(
-
Not had it but I would certainly ask them where it states this (possibly reasonable usage policy)...if its not stated on the agreement you have signed...they really dont have a leg to stand on...
-
Sounds like it will be hidden somewhere in the T and C's under fair 'usage' >:(
-
have a read here .... seems to be some discrepancy in what you, and others, are being told .. left hand /right hand syndrome ??? :(
http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-Services/Vodafone-Services-Does-unlimited-texts-mean-3000/td-p/502046
If it was me .... I'd pay the bill with a letter of protest and a small claims summons included claiming back the money for the texts. I wonder how a Judge would view them changing the definition of "unlimited" .. or even if they would actually go to court ??
-
Have looked at the t & c and nothing there or on my contract,
Just found it on there webpage under what is unlimited but its not on my contract, Another call in order i think just going to scan my contract and e mail it to them,
Wish me luck
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

unlimited.....without limits.....tell them to f*ck off.... :)
-
Their sneaky nowadays, says Unlimited, but when you ask them is it UNLIMITED, UNLIMITED they go No! its capped to 3000. get worked up, call them back up, saying you did NOT, SEE, HEAR, READ anywhere it was 3000.
Tell em You never knew unlimited meant 3000. i had the same problem but with mins, then got refunded the sum of £90+ >:( >:(

And once you've had all the hassle with Vodaphone..
Chop off your sons thumbs and explain to him no girl is worth a text every 9 minutes every hour of every day.. (More like every five minutes if you assume 8-9 hours of sleep!)

;D ;D ;D Was thinking that myself but couldn't be arsed to work out the maths :y

I think I can send about 5 texts every month with Vodafone.... ....because their signal is universally shite around these parts >:(
-
Hmmm...............................
Sounds like my "unlimited Broadband" useage from BT.................
Got the same problem with my Vodafone mate too, its like banging your head against a brick wall. They insist 3000 texts IS "unlimited", as its "virtually impossible " to send that many texts in a month...................
They obviously don't have teenagers then.
-
This "unlimited" issue has been blown up on Watchdog (or similar) some months ago. In view of that, if they're still doing it, I strongly suspect it IS written somewhere that the law allows.
-
well not getting anywhere with vodafone they say unlimited is 3000 i say show me where it says that, they say its not written on the contract but they say it is a capped limit all companies do it,As said teenagers and txt bundles so to all beware and the fight goes on.

Who pays his bill, you or him? One way for sure means he won't do that again :y

Yup - as a kid of about that age I ran up a similar bill connecting to CompuServe (if anyone remembers them!)..
'twas coincidentally the point in time at which I got my first job - village street sweeper. I kid you not, tools issued (by the Council) were gloves, a broom, a shovel, a yellow vest and a wheelbarrow. And off I went. Took a few months to work off that debt and I didn't do it again!
