Title: Has anyone had dealings with this dealer?
Post by: DaveL on 23 May 2007, 08:59:32
Hi peeps,

Was mind in neutral trawling fleabay and came across this advert, 220113313327  .

Looking at the spec it says that the car is a 3.2 but on the description 2.5 ! I sent the seller a question on the correct engine size and he came back with ' e-bay fills in certain parts of the description and would not let him put the correct engine size in, car is a 3.2 and has always been a 3.2'.

1. Is this correct, as i do not have any experience in selling on fleabay?
2. Is it a straight car as the pictures only show the front.

Not saying if i am tempted at this point or not, but knowing how rare 3.2's are the price is about right. No part does it say it has been in Police custody and it has a sunroof, by looks of the picture, so do not think that it will have been in Police use as they usually have the extra kit on the roof.

Hope this question wets the forum's appetite for discussion.

So could be then.
Would have gone onto DVLA site and done a reg search, to see if the car is taxed. You have to put the model in and it gets kicked out if it is a wrong un. But no chance in this case. ::)

i'm pretty sure that even when ebay fills in the sections off the reg number, you still get a choice to change any or mark them blank if any of it is incorrect

I would have thought that you should have been able to change important parts. As far as i am concerned the size of the engine is important. :o

True, but i am up in Bonnie Scotland, nr St. Andrews and it would be a good haul to go and see the motor.
 :-/
Although it seems to be a good enough price it would take a lot of time and effort on my part to go to see some thing which at the end of the day could be a wrong un. :-?

It's got Sat Nav which was standard on a 3.2 and an option on the 2.6 so would guess it is a 3.2............ Not seen many 2.6's with upgraded head units.

hmmm, i live 10 mins away from this garage and am looking for a 3.2 too!  Although i don't think the missuse would let me have x3 Omegas at the same time!   ::)  I've still got my 2.0 on the drive waiting for an insurance claim to go through plus my 2.6 as a working car...

Not to mention i don't have loads of cash to buy this one, how much do you recon it's worth with 33k on the clock?

Can confirm this is a good dealer, I have my Omega serviced there. Don't think they would sell anything dodgy. They are an independant Vauxhall dealer and turn around quite a few Omegas, so know what they are selling. I would happily buy from them, although a bit pricey.

£6495.......It's also on Autotrader DE postcode area. The ebay listing has ended, so don't know whether they have sold it.
