>:( >:( >:( >:( Last night i was woken from a light slumber at about 11.30pm by my pal from across the road informing me that a couple of tossers on a motorbike had smashed the rear screens on my Estate AND MY Saloon omegas with a hammer. The pillion was hitting cars as they rode down the street shouting BOMBS!!!
So i called the 24 hour phone number for body glass renewal and they got National Windscreens to call me. 5mins later a call from the out of hours fitter phoned and asked if the cars i my opinion where as secure as can be to which i said no not really.
The guy then said that he would open up the secure depot in croydon where i could store the cars untill the screens came in this morning. finally got to bed at 2.30am this morning. >:(
This morning a call from the windscreen co informed me that the saloon screen would not be availible untill monday and the estate screen had been delivered with a broken heated screen terminal so would not get a replacement until monday as well >:( >:(.
On the up side the guy last night and the fella this morning could not have been more helpfull and the cars are secure in his depot untill monday at least.
So a big thank you to National Windscreens in croydon area for the help and rides home last night and a big threat to the scrots that caused the damage.... if i catch you you will need more than a screen fitter to sort your problems.
Then to make matters worse, I found out a couple of moments ago that 4 other cars where done last night and all were the rear windows. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Take them in an old prison ship to the middle of the atlantic the torpedo the lot to the bottom.
The police seem to think that the issueing of a crime No is job done and to be fair they have their hands tied by the lousey gov we have in charge

On the plus side, the last car thief I caught, whilst I had him face down in the middle of the main road, a policeman came along and did a running two footed jump on his head!
Only a few days ago my dads mate caught someone burgling his lock up so whacked him a few times with a rather large metal bar! haha

The Old Bill get a bad time IMO. They cant do anything right.
Having a chat with a friend yesterday who used to be a Copper in the Swindon area. He did state that NEVER in his career did he slap, punch or intentionally hurt a scummy little shite who caused mindless damage, but they did tend to fall over a lot ;D
Gary, shame about your windows mate. Just hope they get what they deserve! :y

OMG That is terrible.
If they caught them I would have them making small rocks out of big ones with a toffee hammer.

Thanks broomie, at the time i saw the damage i was in a kind of blurry not quite with it state, my pal said that i looked pale as a ghost. I have to admit that at the time i did not know quite what to do, and which car to deal with first. She also said that she was quite worried about telling me my pride and joy was damaged, knowing how often i clean and polish it. Still i have to be glad that it was only the glass that got damaged and not the body as i cant afford that kinda money at the moment, not that i could really afford the £70 exess, but Ho Hum. The saloon will cost £300 to fix as it was only covered on a tpft cover whilst i decide what to do with it, (sell or break.) I have someone intrested and will be looking at it later this week. ::)
As for the police it is not all their fault, and i will go as far as i can to help them , but sometimes it does seem all one way imo.

That crap was happening 20 years ago on the Pollards, Eastfields, and Phipps Bridge estates.

Sorry to hear that, I had a similar experience a year or so ago. A couple of guys going round in smashing windows, passenger would lean out the window and stove in the window of a car, if they weren't alarmed they would rob them, if they were they drove off sharpish.
They did about 40 cars in my village and neighboring town over 1 weekend!

Martian, Eastfields is just the other side of the railway from me and to be fair Eastfields has improved a hell of a lot., But pollards and phips bridge are still compleat s### holes.
It has ruined the weekend and our wedding aniversary to be honest as we both really dont want or can now afford to do much. :(
