unfortunately he died of a stroke - CC RIP - E Street just lost its heart :'(

Heard he was ill. Very sad. Never been a Springsteen fan myself, but Clemons was a great Sax player. :y

RIP Big Man, a great loss and the end of an era.The E Street Band will never be the same, the loss of Danny was bad enough, but without Clarence :( His solos are the stuff of legend :y :y

I've had a great amount of pleasure listening to and enjoying Steely Dan , Donald Fagen and Walter Becker since 1971 and always marvelled at the crisp ,clear sound even from some early stereos I had and it was all down to this guy.
