I dabble in a bit of Ethical Hacking as it is a career path I wish to undertake once Her Majesty's finest have had enough of me. I bumped in to my former boss' wife and daughter in Tesco and we got on to the subject of Facebook. She claimed that as her security settings are fully closed down you cant hack in to her Facebook profile, and as she uses a Mac you cant hack them either.
Now when I said that one could still hack her facebook and Mac if they wanted, explaining the ins and outs and eventually she agreed that I could have a go at hacking her account.
Now, as an Ethical Hacker if I have someone's permission it's ok....but it's still the wife of someone senior to me, quite senior in fact. I have setup all the things I need to do the hack but I have to wait a few weeks before I can use them so I have some time to think about it.
I think she will take it well when I replace her profile picture as proof of the hack but I must admit I still feel a little uneasy. I also do not want to repeatedly ask her again and again for permission in case she becomes overly suspicious and ruins the hack.
Opinions please ::)

Take her down :y ;D
I do like Mac's but I would never claim to them not being hackable

if you have the slightest doubt in your head about doing it then don't . is it worth the potential hassle if may bring you :-/

Much as it would be funny to see her face when you have done it I'd be very cautious about it. How will her husband (your CO?) take it?
Or, do you know him well enough to explain the situation to him and sound him out? :-?

if shes given permission tell her your gonna do it/let her partner know your doing it and when you have done it both parties know and you can go i told you so

Can you ask the husband first?
No computer is unhackable if there is access to it. All system owners can do is act on potential holes as and when the (good) hacking community or the vendor makes it public, and minimise as much of any computer's accessible surface as possible. Something that the worlds largest gay dating site is quite poor at.

That was my thinking, he's away right now but comes home just in time. And yes the loophole I will be exploiting in fb is shockingly easy!

having worked in that area with a specialist pen testing team Guffer. Get the permission in writing and countersigned by her husband.
last thing you want is SIB knocking on the door.
