Imo, our politicians have shown themselves to be a complete shower of sh*te in this last week.
The phone hacking scandal brought down a national newspaper because it went beyond the realms of celebs and politicians (who we dont particularily care about) when it was revealed that the most vulnerable and innocent people among us had been victims.
Now however, it has become all about the politicians again. They are all in the commons yelling at each other like a football crowd, with the party leaders only interested in trying to score points of one another, or jump on whichever bandwagon will help their image. They seem to have quickly forgotten about the Dowlers/Soham families/war bereaved etc.
Special mention must be made of Gordon Brown. He has used it and his sick child as a weapon in his grudge match against Murdoch. The Sun insisted today that he and his wife gave permission for them to print the story about his son.He was still very close to Murdochs organisation long after it was printed - right up to the moment Murdoch switched his allegiance to Cameron. The editor of the Sun when the story was printed was ( the now infamous) Rebecca Wade. The Browns attended her wedding and had her as an overnight guest after the story was printed.
His performance on TV yesterday was stomach churning imo.

The politicians from all three major parties have lost it, imho.
They are, as you rightly point out, only interested in power - either obtaining it or retaining it - and they see this inter-party mudslinging as normal behaviour. The rest of us see it for the arrogant, childish, moronic behaviour that it really is. ::) ::)
The political classes, not just here but in many other countries, have lost the support of the populous. Unfortunately, they are too stupid to realise the error of their ways. >:(

Bring Back GUIDO, the only man to enter the House of Commons with good intent. ;D
Seriously though Albs is on the button, I watched PMQ's, and what a load of braying self seving public school boys ( alot of millionaires to boot). You wouldn't believe that are suppose to represent US, and not themselves :( :(
As for Hulme tie him to one of his green bloody wind mills, if you can find one that actually generates anything except irritating noise, and is not eyesore.

Have you seen the size of Camarons summer residence.

Those that can do, those that can't talk about it. ::)
If someone can't do anything useful in life apart from spouting lies and useless waffle, then the job for them is as a top politician, in any other job they would be known as a useless fool. :o
I think Cameron was a "PR Assistant", many other MPs have been "Research Assistants", as their total career job experience, (apart from working at a BP garage, near Silverstone, that 'The Boy' uses ;D) which is marketing speak for their job position being somewhat lower than a "Tea stirrers, assistant's mate". :-?
The politicians are now trying to score party political points and save their own skins, positions, salaries and pensions, not to mention their ministers cars (I almost said reputations, except they haven't got any ::)), where they all sucked up to NI. Where I feel desperately sorry for Milly Dowler's family with their false hope that she was still alive with the deleted voice mails and other victims from 7/7, 9/11 and our brave troops where their voice mails have been hacked to boost newspaper circulations and profits. It is a totally repugnant and a total disgrace. :( >:(

The whole point that is the only one that counts is this one....
Who voted them in?
Thats right, we did by either not supporting our own party enough or by not voting at all. If Labour and that BLAIR/BROWN conmen team had not shagged this country rotten then they would in all probability still be in power and even further in debt with the usual ever expanding sleaze and own pocket lining. YES, before anyone comments on my preference I voted Labour all of my long life until those two destroyedc any confidence I had in Labour as a party that supported the working class. Truth was they shagged them every chance they got and sent the money abroad to a pack of wasters who beg of everyone else every year.
:o Bet that upsets a few........but its the truth! :'(
At the end of the day the deed is now done and we must suffer the penalties for that.
