Thinking about buying a 4 controller charger thingy
looks like they plug into the usb, have 4 slots, come with 4 'battery backs'
happy so far...
Blue mad bright LED's >:(
Reading the adverts, it sounds like they 'may' be able to be turned off for 'non illuminated charging' :D Anyone got one to confirm?
looking at this sort of thing...

i had one of the double charging dock and i couldnt turn the illumination off. unfortunately. gets quite annoying after a while mate.
looks like a good deal though

aye, cant decide if this switch turns the lights off....or the whole thing..
not the best english out there
-
The one I have the lights are on but I tuck them down out of the way and turn the units so the lights aren't facing out :y
-
so...have either of you got the switch the ad talks about?
-
Be careful... I have a vague recollection of someone moaning that it only charged when the wii was powered on :-/ :-/
Mind you... At that price it's not really a problem if it doesn't work ::) ::)

Yes it doesn't charge when it was switched off :(

I've got a 2 station, and yes, they only charge when the Wii is on.
Having said that, ours have been fine.
Can't turn the blue leds off though.

Ahh ok, thats one thing answerd, and easy fixed by using the PC or an adaptor.
Just the shite blue lights I need rid of....

At that price, stick some tape over them ;) ;)

Desolder the tinkers ;)
Personally, I nip down costco, buy a 48 pack of Kirkland AA's for about £7, that easily covers the wii for a year. And most other things (although I do buy Duracell for items that have batteries in for years, as not had one leak yet)

At least with the lights, you can tell when they're fully charged.

I went to use the Wii the other day (first time in a few months) and the controllers were dead - opened the backs and.. yup, Duracell oozing their insides all over the inside of the controllers :-/
Bought a 'wireless' charging station (charges packs via induction), though sadly it's covered in blue LEDs.. one review did say you could turn them off by 'pressing the button on the front' - 'course if you read the instructions that's the "Off" button.. so of course the lights go out! ;D
